Alternate Places
Conceptual, Architectural Abstraction
I am using abstract form to suggest spatial structure rather than literal architecture. My paintings are constructed environments-composed through color, proportion, and implied geometry-designed to evoke a sense of calm, coherence, and inward reflection. Architecture interests me not as a physical object, but as a psychological framework. I am drawn to how space can influence feeling: how openness, balance, and rhythm can restore equilibrium in a visually noisy world. My paintings offer an alternative experience--one of stillness, clarity, and intentional order. After decades of working as an artist, my focus has narrowed to creating spaces that feel inhabitable on an emotional level. These works are not narrative; they are experimental. They invite the viewer to pause, enter, and remain.
