Why waste paper when you can make something beautiful with it?  Paper, with its bright patterns, and colorful bows, are decorative and exist by themselves.  Why regard it as just a protective coat, to be cast aside and thrown away when the inner gift is revealed?  Wrapping paper is a gift in itself and should not be thought of as just another throwaway item in our disposable culture.
